PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system or the like capable of preventing the rear end part of a lens barrel from interfering with the internal parts of a camera when mounting a lens having a short back focus in a camera body. SOLUTION: In the camera system 1, the camera body 2 and the lens assembly 4 having a second back focus shorter than a first back focus equivalent to the flange back of the camera body 2 are constituted to be attachable/detachable through engaging sections 20 and 21. The lens assembly 4 has a lens barrel 27 which can be elongated to an image side, and is set to the second back focus in such a state that the lens barrel 27 is elongated to the image side.
