PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV-ray irradiation device capable of effectively shielding an object to be irradiated of detrimental wavelength components without depending on their directivity and irradiating the object to be irradiated with UV-rays including many useful wavelength components. SOLUTION: The UV-ray irradiation device includes a plurality of parallel and horizontally installed UV-ray discharge lamps 2 for irradiating an object 1 to be irradiated with the UV-rays, parabolic reflectors 3 which cover each of the UV-ray discharge lamps 2 so as to reflect the UV-rays emitted from the UV-ray discharge lamps excepting the lower emitting light side, and a UV-ray filter assembly 14 which is arranged below the each emitting light side of the UV-ray discharge lamp and is constituted by arranging a number of oblong first and third UV-ray filters 11, 12 of the optical characteristics to shield the UV-ray components of wavelengths below the prescribed wavelength of the UV-rays emitted from each of the parabolic reflectors and UV-ray discharge lamps and a small incident angle in parallel crosses and horizontally disposing a main UV-ray filter plate 13 on the top surface side of the parallel cross-shaped filter assembly 10.
