PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knock sensor superior in productivity that can prevent the decrease in durability of a processing tool by a constitution, wherein a resin fluid channel is provided to one or both of the upper terminal and the lower terminal that can be processed readily. SOLUTION: Four notches 45, 55 are formed at equal intervals in the radial direction, respectively, on the upper terminal 4 and the lower terminal 5. The notches 45, 55 respectively have openings 46, 56 at the outer circumferences, and the inner circumference ends 47, 57 are set to be inside, rather than a piezoelectric element 31 and the inner circumferences of the upper terminal 4 and the lower terminal 5; while coupling sections 48, 58 are left to the inner circumferences. The four notches 45, 55 respectively form the resin fluid channels 40, 50, and a cylindrical gap 6 is filled with a mold resin that passes through the resin fluid channels 40, 50. When the upper terminal 4 and the lower terminal 5 are formed by punching out a plate material of copper alloy, such as brass, since the outer shape and the four notches 45, 55 (resin fluid channels 40, 50) can be formed, at the same time, it is possible to improve the productivity and to suppress the manufacturing cost.
