PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a runner cantilever type air blower/exhauster shaft with a little manpower by fixing a rotary shaft with a tool to prevent floating of the rotary shaft and to enable rotation of the rotary shaft. SOLUTION: A prevention tool 1 preventing floating of the rotary shaft 53 during disassembling and inspecting a runner cantilever type air blower/exhauster comprises a tool main body 2 comprising a roughly rectangular plate member, a roller bearing 4 mounted on one surface side of the tool main body 2, an elastic roller 3 mounted on the roller bearing 4, and a tensioner 5 hanging the tool main body 2 in fixing the tool main body 2. The tool main body 2 is mounted in an upper surface of the rotary shaft 53, and the tool main body 2 can be fixed by hanging both ends of the tensioner 5 hung on the tool main body 2 on a pedestal 57 side of the runner cantilever type air blower/exhauster.
