PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicament effective for inhibition or reduction of onset of senility-like symptom, and for elongation of the life. SOLUTION: The senile decay-preventing agent contains at least one kind or more of coloring matter compounds selected from sulfonic acid-based blue coloring matter having an -SO<SB>3</SB><SP>-</SP>group in the molecule, Nile blue and methylene blue as an active ingredient.
