PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain conveyor device capable of preventing any residue from being left behind, and a residue preventive device capable of easily performing the operation therefor. SOLUTION: The chain conveyor device 1 includes a duct 3 having two ends 18, a throw-in port 11 of objects to be conveyed, and a discharge port, a conveyor chain 22 which is arranged in the duct to move the objects to be conveyed from the throw-in port to the discharge port, and a residue preventive device 8. The conveyor chain 22 is engaged with each chain wheel 32 arranged adjacent to each end, and the residue preventive device 8 includes a residue preventive plate 40 corresponding to an outer peripheral shape of the conveyor chain engaged with the chain wheel, and a turnbuckle capable of fixing the residue preventive plate in an attachable/detachable manner.
