PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lighting in the twilight and the like from becoming unclear to deteriorate appearance, concerning a specified lighting portion applying a light transparent coating layer on a surface and provided with a light source on the back side of the light transparent layer out of a plurality of the lighting portions provided on electric instrument mounted to a vehicle. SOLUTION: The plurality of the lighting portions including the specified lighting portion is provided on an audio unit. It is determined whether detection brightness I is within a predetermined brightness range Ia-Ib or not. In the case of affirmative determination, even if the lighting portions except for the specified lighting portion are lit up, the light-up of the specified lighting portion is prohibited.
