The invention relates to a compact high-voltage pulse generator based on a spiral pulse generator, with the spiral pulse generator being entirely or partially surrounded by a ferritic material. The invention likewise relates to a dip-coating method for coating a spiral pulse generator with a ferritic layer, in which the spiral pulse generator is dipped into a low-viscosity slip and, once the slip has dried, is sintered at temperatures of 500 to 900°C. The invention also relates to a high-pressure discharge lamp having a discharge vessel which is accommodated in an outer bulb, with a starting apparatus being integrated in the lamp and producing high-voltage pulses in the lamp, with the starting apparatus being a spiral pulse generator which is accommodated in the outer bulb, with the generator acting as a starting transformer, since it is entirely or partially surrounded by a ferritic material. |
