The communication system has two transceivers for wireless communication via a radio network. The first transceiver has a location identification device. The operating function of the first transceiver is activated by a command facility having a status message stored in a data profile which produces a comprehensive information on the current site and or the length of time until it reaches the holder of the second transceiver. A message is automatically generated and sent to the second transceiver. An independent claim is included for a method for exchanging messages through a communication system.
