<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce cloned dogs in high efficiency and contribute to the development of the veterinary medicine, anthropology and medical research such as the reproduction and preservation of superior varieties, heterotransplantation and disease model animals, and to perform more correct research of the reproduction character of a cloned dog by producing a female cloned dog at first compared with a conventional technique to produce only male cloned dog. <P>SOLUTION: The method is provided the production of a cloned dog, more specifically by removing the nucleus from the ovum of a dog to form a denucleated ovum, transplanting a somatic cell of a dog to the denucleated ovum, fusing under the optimized condition to obtain a nucleus-transplanted ovum and transplanting the ovum to the oviduct of a surrogate mother dog. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
