摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve efficient and sufficient noise reduction or suppression with simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: An image input device has an imaging device 2 wherein colors by pixels of a pixel array are allocated in a predetermined array, an edge detector 4A, and a noise suppressor 4B. The edge detector 4A detects an edge from a pixel signal output from a high-sensitivity pixel (pixel A) to which a predetermined color is allocated and which has the highest sensitivity. The noise suppressor 4B inputs pixel signals output from pixels other than the pixel A by colors and when pixel signals of the same color are processed, the processing is repeated while target pixels of the processing are changed in order. At this time, the noise suppressor 4B performs noise suppression when the edge detector 4A decides that no edge is present in a circumference of each target pixel, but does not perform the edge suppression when it is decided that an edge is present. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
