<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device and an authentication method attaining permanent biometric authentication with no risk of "spoofing" by forgery or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Scattered light is generated in deep tissue deeper than a blood vessel in vivo. A blood vessel part into which the scattered light is absorbed, and a non-blood vessel part through which the scattered light is transmitted than the blood vessel part, are detected, and information obtained as the detected result is collated with stored blood vessel information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
