PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet discharging apparatus which suppresses unevenness in a liquid droplet discharging amount resulting from the discharging characteristics of each nozzle in a liquid droplet discharging head, and can form an even film layer, and to provide its driving method. SOLUTION: This liquid droplet discharging apparatus includes a liquid droplet discharging head having a plurality of nozzles and driving elements which are installed while corresponding to each nozzle. The liquid droplet discharging apparatus includes a waveform data storage means, a plurality of driving signal generating means, a receiving means, and a driving signal selecting means. In this case, the waveform data storage means stores driving waveform data which respectively corresponds to each of a plurality of kinds of driving signals. The plurality of driving signal generating means generates the driving signal by reading the driving waveform data from the waveform data storage means. The receiving means receives waveform selecting data for designating the driving waveform data which is read by each of the plurality of driving signal generating means. The driving signal selecting means selects one from among driving signals which are generated by each of the plurality of driving signal generating means and feeds the driving signal for each driving element.
