PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver and broadcast display method with which user convenience is improved by enabling next program information of a current channel to be displayed on a screen without input operation by a user. SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver 100-1 of the present invention comprises: a receiving unit 120 for receiving a broadcast signal including a plurality of channels; an operating unit 160 corresponding to a channel switching means for selecting a prescribed channel by switching a plurality of channels received in the receiving unit 120; a program guide analysis unit 170 and a storage unit 150 corresponding to an information acquiring means for acquiring program related information containing a channel, a program broadcasting time, a program title and a program content explanation; and a control unit 210 which controls output to a display unit so as to display information of a program to be next broadcasting by judging that a time to start the relevant program to be next broadcasting on a channel being received by the receiving unit 120 becomes closer on the basis of the program related information and the present time.
