PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extended storage device for a programmable logic controller, and a programmable logic controller system, enabling the programmable logic controller of an old version as it is even if a new ROM (Read Only Memory) is mounted in the extended storage device for the programmable logic controller. SOLUTION: This extended storage device for the programmable logic controller for extending storage capacity of the programmable logic controller has: a ROM; and a conversion part converting a first identifier for specifying and identifying the ROM into a second identifier to be recognized by the programmable logic controller.
