PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric sensor capable of stably detecting characteristic amounts of objects to be detected. SOLUTION: A 3×3 light receiving element group uniformly includes three light receiving elements for receiving red light, three light receiving elements for receiving green light, and three light receiving elements for receiving blue light. Light receiving elements groups constituted in 3×3 unit are combined to form a 12×12 array-like pattern of light receiving elements. Light receiving elements for receiving red (R), green (G), and blue (B) light are dispersedly arranged by a 12×12 array-like arrangement pattern of light receiving elements. Since the light receiving elements are dispersedly arranged, the number of light receiving elements for receiving red (R), green (G), and blue (B) light included in a spot region thereby does not substantially vary, for example, even when the circular spot region is displaced.
