PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymeric organic light-emitting material which is high in solubility, stability and luminous efficiency. SOLUTION: The polymeric organic light-emitting material consists of a carbazole-based random copolymer of (a) component represented by general formula (1) and (b) another component represented by general formula (2). In these general formulas, R<SB>1a</SB>and R<SB>1b</SB>are each independently H, 1-30C alkyl, 2-30C aromatic cyclic group or the like; R<SB>2a</SB>and R<SB>2b</SB>are each independently (substituted) 1-30C alkyl, (substituted) 2-30C aromatic cyclic group or the like.
