PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To activate a power source of a capsule endoscope with a simple structure. SOLUTION: An inner shell part 20 is provided inside the capsule outer shell 11 of the capsule endoscope 10. A spherical conductor piece 21 moving freely inside the inner shell part 20 is provided inside the inner shell part 20. First and second contact electrodes 22A, 22B and first and second holding electrodes 27A, 27B are provided in the inner shell part 20. A fuse 35 is installed between the first and second holding electrodes 27A, 27B. The fuse 35 controls that the conductor piece 21 makes contact with the first and second holding electrodes 27A, 27B. When the fuse 35 melts down, the conductor piece 21 is brought into contact with the first and second holding electrodes 27A, 27B, and these electrodes are electrically connected.
