PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for germinating a bonsai from a pinecone, different from conventional pine germination methods having been used for forming the bonsai of pine. SOLUTION: A mixture 5 of soil 3 with pine seeds 4 is charged into spaces between the scales 2, 2 of a pinecone 1. When the pinecone 1 contains water, the flakes can be closed to hold spaces permitting the germination therebetween. When the pinecone is planted in soil, water can easily be controlled, and seed germination and pine seedling can also easily be controlled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
