A treatment device for treating food products with conditioned air comprises a housing (10) which delimits a treatment space (18) and is provided with an entry (12) and an exit (14), at least one conveying means for conveying the products from the entry throughout the treatment space to the exit, the conveying means between the entry (12) and the exit (14) following a conveying path (26) with several windings which are situated one above the other, air-circulation means (40) for circulating conditioned air throughout the treatment space via a hollow drum (20). According to a first aspect, air-conditioning means (56) are provided upstream of the air-circulation means (40) for conditioning the air. According to a second aspect, at least one winding (28) of the conveying path (26) near the entry has a pitch which is different to the pitch of the downstream windings (30, 36, 38).
