The magnetic sensor has an evaluation unit for detecting magnetic field changes occurring in a rail vehicle running over a rail track. A system for point shaped inductive automatic train control, which has an activatable and deactivatable track magnet (2) and a vehicle magnet (1), is connected with the evaluation unit. An independent claim is also included for a track side construction unit, particularly for a track free alarm system.
