A bottle with a narrow portion, having high ability of absorbing depressurization, high strength, and enhanced esthetic appearance. The bottle has a narrow portion at at least a portion of its side face, and the narrow portion is formed by a curved surface. At least one panel for absorbing depressurization is provided at the narrow portion, and the width of the panel continuously varies from one end of the panel to the other end.
