<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install such that an installation length accurately becomes a specified value by a simple process. <P>SOLUTION: A diameter D1 of a surface of a sealed fluid side of a minimum diameter portion of a protrusion lip 105 is equalized with a diameter D2 of a shaft 102 of a fitting part 106 fitted with an end face lip seal 104. Areas of regions receiving a pressure from the sealed fluid become equal in both axial sides of a shaft of the end face lip seal 104. Force fb acting in a direction from a fixed ring 103 toward the end face lip seal 104, and force fc acting in a direction from a large diameter portion 102c of the shaft holding the sealed fluid toward the fixed ring 103 become equal by the sealed fluid with respect to the end face lip seal 104. Accordingly, movement of the end face lip seal in an axial direction of the shaft can be prevented, the end face lip seal and the fixed ring can be installed using the same reference plane, and installation can be accurately carried out by a simple process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
