<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a flexible authentication system by controlling the operation of an authentication information acquisition apparatus through a network interface. <P>SOLUTION: The communication system 500 includes: composite machines 1a and 1b; authentication information input apparatuses 7a and 7b; I/F converters 8a and 8b; and a control server 2. Here, the control server 2 is provided with an authentication information input apparatus driver 77 for controlling the operations of the authentication information input apparatus 7a and 7b through the I/F converters 8a and 8b across a network 400; and a composite machine control part 79 for controlling the operations of the composite machines 1a and 1b. The authentication information input apparatus driver 77 makes the authentication information input apparatus 7a and 7b acquire authentication information from a user, and receives authentication information acquired by the authentication information input apparatus 7a and 7b through the network 400. An authentication part 73 of the control server 2 performs authentication processing by using the received authentication information, and when the authentication succeeds, the composite machine control part 79 permits the use of the composite machines 1a and 1b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
