<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin shaft for a developing roller, in which a damage at a groove part can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The resin shaft for the developing roller has at least one annular groove in the peripheral face along its circumference. In the resin shaft for the developing roller, the annular groove has two sides opposite to each other, substantially vertical in the lengthwise direction of the shaft and having a width W between them, and a bottom face continuous to the two sides and forming a recessed curved face.
