PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speckle reduction laser capable of reducing a speckle by giving fluctuation to a resonance mode. SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser for emitting a laser beam by resonating the beam excited in an active layer, comprises a mode change part 150 containing an electro-optical material layer disposed on a resonating path of the laser beam, and the resonating mode of the laser beam is changed as a voltage applied to the electro-optical material layer is increased. As a result, it is possible to effectively reduce the speckles by a structure which changes the resonating mode of laser beam. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
