A cutting target for a sword is provided to enable a user to compute the scores of cutting the cutting areas when a user performs left-right (right-left) downward cutting or left-right (right-left) upward cutting. A cutting target for a sword includes a body(100), a rectangular body, a boundary line(20), and score figures(40). The body has the shape of a rectangular band. The rectangular body is distinguished by a frame line(11) on the inner side of the body. The boundary lines are formed inside the rectangular body in a horizontal direction to form cutting areas(50). Score figures are formed at plural vertexes in which the frame of the rectangular body and the boundary lines meet each other. The score figures are disposed on the vertexes on both sides of the rectangular body.
