<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to stably rotate an intermediate transfer belt in an image forming apparatus where the primary transfer plane of the intermediate transfer belt is inclined and the secondary transfer plane is approximately vertical. <P>SOLUTION: A roller for driving the intermediate transfer belt is provided between the primary transfer plane and the secondary transfer plane.
