<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a conductive rubber roller useful as a roller for an electrophotographic apparatus, such as a transfer roller, a charging roller or a developing roller, having a uniform horizontal to vertical ratio and a uniform cell distribution of a tube thereof, free of unevenness in hardness and resistance, and having good grindability. <P>SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a foam rubber layer contains at least 10-60 pts.mass of a carbon black having a DBP oil absorption value of 30-60 ml/100 g based on 100 pts.mass of base rubber in combination with a chemical foaming agent, and a tube of the rubber composition is irradiated with microwaves at an intensity of 0.5-2.5 kW within a length of an irradiation zone of 2 m. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
