<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent confusion because of a left printed matter on a tray for paper discharge, and to sort the printed matter according to a user's necessity. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus prints image data to a recording paper according to a job inputted from the outside. At the same time, the image forming apparatus prints an ID image whereby a user's name can be specified, and piles it on a sorting tray 43. At the sorting tray 43, when a predetermined time passes after all printing ends, ID data are read from the recording paper by an ID reading part 47, and the user's name is specified from the job name. It is reported to the specified user that recording papers are left on the sorting tray 43. Sorting conveyance of the recording papers on the sorting tray 43 is carried out according to the reported result. The recording papers piled in the sorting tray 43 are sorted and conveyed to preliminarily set sorting trays 44 and 45 following that the recording papers are necessary/unnecessary which is judged according to a response to the report. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
