<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer chip capable of surely self-verifying its own operation. <P>SOLUTION: The microcomputer comprises a plurality of pads 8, 15 and 19 for exchanging signal with the outside of a chip 1; output buffers 7 and 14 and input buffers 9 and 16 connected to the same pads 8 and 15; and first latches 11 and 18 provided in the rear of the input buffers 9 and 16 to receive signals outputted from the corresponding output buffers 7 and 14 through the input buffers 9 and 16. The first latches 11 and 18 latch signals received through the input buffers 9 and 16 in response to a writing signal assigned from the outside through one pad 19 of the plurality of pads 8, 15 and 19.
