PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit constitution capable of lighting a discharge lamp without repeatedly sweeping the driving frequency of an input current applied on a piezoelectric transformer when lighting the discharge lamp. SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric inverter device 11, output voltage signals from an output voltage detecting circuit 13 showing an output voltage from the piezoelectric transformer 12, and feedback current signals from a feedback current detecting circuit 14 showing a current value flowing through the discharge lamp 20 are input into a control circuit part 16 after adding both signals in a signal addition part 15. In a control IC 17 constituting the control circuit part 16, their added signals are input only into a feedback current signal input terminal, while an output voltage signal input terminal OVP is grounded and the signals are not input into it.
