PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change a communication route during communication and to perform communication through a communication route requested by a user. SOLUTION: During communication in response to a call terminated from another form communication terminal, a communication apparatus discriminates whether a public telephone line network or Internet being utilized for the communication with the other form communication terminal matches a public telephone line network or Internet designated to be utilized for communication with another form communication terminal (SP1) and in a case where it is discriminated that the network does not match, one of first and second communication units communicating with the other form communication terminal is switched to the other of the first and second communication units. Thus, one of the first and second communication units communicating with the other form communication terminal can be easily switched to the other of the first and second communication units without performing any complicated operation during the communication with the other form communication terminal, such that the communication route can be easily changed during communication.
