PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire preventing a crack from an abrasion limitation display and enhancing visibility of the abrasion limitation display in the tire formed with the abrasion limitation display (wear indicator) on a side protector. SOLUTION: Wear indicator holes 6 extending to an inner side of the tire are formed on a surface of the side protector 5 with intervals in a tire circumferential direction. The wear indicator hole 6 is formed into a throttling hole 6a extending at an approximately same lateral cross section area at an opening side A and to an enlargement hole 6b in which a lateral cross section area at a bottom part side B is rapidly enlarged.
