PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer improving printing quality by reducing multiple levels of printing and suppressing the occurrence of uneven printing due to vibrations of a rubber roller. SOLUTION: When a line is to be printed in a width direction, a stepping motor (SM) is reversed in advance. When a thermal head is to perform printing for each of physical blocks or logical blocks, the conducting order of the blocks is changed in every step of the SM, and power is distributed to all the blocks in each step.
