A harmonic wave reduction apparatus with an overload protection device is provided to absorb and remove a harmonic wave without a manager for inputting power again by connection with a main circuit again by automatically returning a temperature switch below a predetermined temperature. A harmonic wave reduction apparatus(60) with an overload protection device includes a temperature switch(70) inside. The temperature switch is opened and closed according to an internal temperature of the harmonic wave reduction apparatus. A magnetic contactor(50) is provided at input stages of 3-phase lines inputted from a distributing board(40) to the harmonic wave reduction apparatus and is opened and closed according to an operation of a coil(52). The coil constituting the magnetic contactor is connected to the temperature switch.
