METHOD OF CONTROLLING KIDS COMPUTER, AND INFORMATION STORAGE MEDIUM STORING A CONTROL PROGRAM THEREOF

A method for controlling computer use of kids and an information storage medium storing a program thereof are provided to enable a parent to control a computer use time or pattern of the kids conveniently by using the separate information storage medium like a USB(Universal Serial Bus) memory. An information storage medium, such as a USB memory(112), storing a program and manager authentication information for controlling and managing computer use of kids checks whether a kid computer(110) is connected. The kid computer is switched to a parent mode for enabling a parent to manage the kid computer or a kid mode for permitting computer use to the kids. The program controls the computer use of the kids by reading a use control policy including use control/management data for the kid computer from the kid computer or a management server(120), and applying the use control policy to the kid computer during the kid mode not connected to the information storage medium. The management server updates the stored use control policy when the manager changes the use control policy applied to the kid computer.
