PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit control information such as a recording reservation instruction from a terminal outside a network to a specific receiver in the network in a CATV network comprised of a transmitter and at least one receiver. SOLUTION: The receiver transmits information about a selected channel to the transmitter in channel selection, in the transmitter, when a request such as recording reservation to a specific receiver is accepted from a terminal outside the network, an applicable receiver multiplexes an instruction signal such as the recording reservation to data of data broadcast of a channel at a selected state by a data broadcast format to be transmitted.
