<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spontaneous ignition prevention method of active carbon which is capable of reducing spontaneous combustibility of active carbon. <P>SOLUTION: The spontaneous ignition prevention method of active carbon is characterized by having sodium phosphate supported to active carbon. It is preferable that monobasic sodium phosphate or dibasic sodium phosphate is used as sodium phosphate.
