<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit preventing abnormality of a cleaning device due to a failure to collect dust or ignoring an alarm, and minimizing the influence of abnormality of the cleaning device upon air-conditioning operation. <P>SOLUTION: The indoor unit 3 is provided with: the cleaning device operated in predetermined operating conditions to remove dust stuck to an air filter; a dust box for collecting dust removed by the cleaning device; a lifting device 150 supporting the dust box liftably from a case 15; and a control part 200 performing various operation control. The control part 200 comprises a collection notifying means for outputting a collection time signal for notifying a user of the collection time of dust collected in the dust box, under predetermined operating conditions, and a dust collection confirming means confirming that the dust collecting operation is performed after the output of the collection time signal, and outputting a confirmation signal.
