PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape reel and a machine reel capable of easily manufacturing a hub having a part larger in diameter than both ends in an outer peripheral surface at low costs, a recording cartridge equipped with the tape reel, and a driving device equipped with the machine reel. SOLUTION: In the tape reel 20 having a resin hub 22 on which a recording tape T is wound, and flanges 24 and 26 disposed in both ends of the hub 22, a ring-shaped member 48 larger in outer diameter than the inner diameter of at least a part of the hub 22 is pressure-inserted into the hub 22. Thus, the tape reel 20 having a part larger in diameter than that of both ends is easily formed in at least a part of the outer peripheral surface of the hub 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
