PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge for analysis with the performance of its separation column maintained while not used yet, and with a measurement specimen separated therefrom in a simple operation by the separation column when used. SOLUTION: In the cartridge 10 for analysis, an operation plate 50 is positioned at a first position while not used yet. Since a state is maintained in which places ranging from an inflow passage 28, via the separation column 29 and an outflow passage 30, as far as this side of an effluent port 16a, are filled with an eluent A, the separation column 29 does not get dry and its intrinsic performance can be maintained. Meanwhile, when used, the operation plate 50 is positioned at a second position, and a state is brought about wherein blood held in a blood holding hole 52 can be introduced into the separation column 29. Further, constituents contained in the blood can be separated from each other since the effluent port 16a is thrown open while supply ports 21a and 22a of first and second cylinders 21 and 22 are all thrown open to cause effluents A and B to get from the inflow passage 28, via the separation column 29 and the outflow passage 30, to an affluent tank 16.
