PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable resin composition whose crystallization rate is good and whose heat resistance is excellent. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a biodegradable resin composition comprising a biodegradable resin, a plasticizer and a crystal nucleator. The plasticizer is composed of a compound having two or more ester groups in a molecule wherein at least one of the alcohol components constituting an ester is added with 0.5 to 5 moles of an alkylene oxide having 2 or 3 carbon atoms per one hydroxy group on average, and the crystal nucleator is a mixture of the following crystal nucleator (1) and the following crystal nucleator (2). The crystal nucleator (1) is selected from hydroxyl fatty acid esters. The crystal nucleator (2) is composed of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of phenylphosphonic acid metal salts, metal salts of phosphate esters, metal salts of aromatic sulfonic acid dialkyl esters, metal salts of rosin acids, aromatic carboxylic acid amides, rosin acid amides, carbohydrazides, N-substituted ureas, salts of melamine compounds and uracils.
