PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer comprising a new silicone monomer with a specific structure, and a cosmetic composition containing the polymer. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a new block (co)polymer comprising, in a physiologically permissible medium, at least a first block and at least a second block and at least one of the blocks contains the silicone monomer selected from a given list in an amount of 35-100 wt.% based on the weight of the block containing them. The invention also relates to the composition for cosmetics or pharmaceuticals containing the polymers, as well as a method of cosmetic treatment employing them, and a method of preparation of the polymers.
