PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring device in a hoistway of an elevator which holds slackness of a cable when the cables is expanded by the change of the temperature in the hoistway, to prevent interference of the cable with equipment in the hoistway or a car, to prevent any uncontrollable motion of the cable when an earthquake or the like occurs, to enhance the appearance in a perspective elevator, to reduce the tensile stress exerted in the cable when the cable is contracted by the change of the temperature in the hoistway, and to prevent disconnection of a cable core wire. SOLUTION: The wiring device in the hoistway of the elevator comprises a cable fixing piece 3 installed in a fixed part in a hoistway, a holding means 5 for holding a cable fitted to the cable fixing piece via a fitting means 4 slidable in the longitudinal direction of the cable 6, and a restoring force providing means 11 for providing the restoring force to the holding means.
