PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preparing a booklet unnecessary for any discharging operation of unnecessary special sheets without waiting for the discharging operation of the unnecessary sheets. SOLUTION: In the image forming device 100 for discharging unnecessary tab papers if there are some tab papers unnecessary for each booklet based on the sheet number of a tab paper group constituting one set and the number of tab papers to be used for one booklet, when any unnecessary tab papers are generated when preparing one booklet, the unnecessary tab papers are discharged when any request for preparing a next booklet is not present, or when a request for preparing the next booklet is present and paper feed trays 1-4 necessary for discharging any unnecessary tab papers when preparing the next booklet are used. When a request for preparing a next booklet is present and any paper feed trays 1-4 necessary for discharging any unnecessary tab papers when preparing the next booklet are not used, an image forming unit 41 and a conveying unit 42 are controlled so as to prepare the next booklet before discharging any unnecessary tab papers.
