PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular raindrop detection device for determining a wipe mode capable of raising the wipe mode with such response performance as to follow abrupt changes without complicating structure when the vehicle comes out of a rainfall interception environment. SOLUTION: This vehicular raindrop detection device 1 includes: a determining means 51 for determining a second wipe mode as a stable wipe mode by an effect that the second wipe mode continues for a first determining time after determining the second wipe mode at a higher wipe level than a first wipe mode on the low side of a wipe level; a storing means 52 for storing the stable wipe mode; and a mode-up means 51 for raising from the first wipe mode to the stored stable wipe mode when a raindrop is detected during lowering from the second wipe mode to the first wipe mode. When a stop mode for stopping the wiping of a wiper 12 is determined, the stable wipe mode stored in the storing means 52 is eliminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
