PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device equipped with a cooling means capable of preventing various kinds of constituting parts present around the irradiating face of ultraviolet of an ultraviolet irradiating device located in an evacuating position from being overheated. SOLUTION: An inkjet printer includes the cooling means 200 in the evacuating position of the ultraviolet irradiating device 109 irradiating ultraviolet and below the ultra violet irradiating device 109. The cooling means 200 includes a ventilating hole 201b on the upper face 201a of a casing 201 located facing a transmitting body 112 of the ultraviolet irradiating device 109 and a bottom face 110a supporting the transmitting body 112 and a fan 202 introducing outside air from the ventilating hole 201b into a casing 201 and discharge the air outside of the casing 201. The cooling device 200 actuates a fan 202 when the ultraviolet irradiating device 109 is located in the evacuating position, supplies air to the transmitting body 112 of the ultraviolet irradiating device 109, a bottom portion 110a, the upper face 201a of the casing 201, and the inside of the casing 201 or others to cool them.
