PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deep drawing apparatus capable of working a deeper product and also controlling the uniformity in the thickness of the product by increasing the limit drawing ratio by applying the optimum heating and cooling to a metal sheet. SOLUTION: This apparatus has: a punch 2 for applying a deep drawing to the metal sheet 9; a die 3 for forming the metal sheet together with the punch and applying the deep drawing; a blank holding part 4 for preventing the generation of wrinkles on the periphery of the forming part of the metal sheet; an induction heating coil 5 for directly heating the metal sheet of the part which is held with the blank holding part; a heating controlling part 6 for controlling the amount of heating of the metal sheet with the induction heating coil and cooling means 21-23 for cooling the metal sheet of the part to be formed with the punch.
