The invention comprises an ultrasonic transducer (1), whereto is connected a sonotrode (2), or end part functioning as a sonotrode, provided for vibrating in a direction that can be guided with respect to a work surface on which are placed plastics to be soldered arranged under a free end (2a) of the sonotrode (2), wherein the sonotrode (2) defines a first conduit (3) for circulation of a cooling fluid and which exits through the free end (2a), and said head (C) has a fluid supply connection (4).
